I rarely do personal posts on this space. I don't think I ever have, actually. But there's a first for everything. Don't worry, it won't get too personal.

The thing is: I'm moving. I'm heading back to my hometown. It's a rather quiet town south of Metro Manila. It's familiar, but in a way, it's also new. It's been two or three years since we last lived there -- me, my husband and our daughter. We've already been accustomed to our life here in the city. We have gotten used to our rhythm. But it's happening.

One of the ideas I'm having a hard time to grasp is the one where I won't be a stone's throw away from a mall to swatch things and check on new products anymore. I sound like a slave of consumerism, but it's been comforting to know that I can easily just walk to the mall if I run out of toner or moisturizer. Ah, changes.

Coco Chanel said, "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." I honestly did not plan on changing my life so drastically when I went to Bench Fix to get about six inches of my hair chopped off. I just didn't want to deal with long hair anymore. But now it seems symbolic. My hair is different. My life is going to change.

This space has been some sort of a playground for me. It's led me to a number of wonderful opportunities, too. But it's become an afterthought. I keep promising to tidy things up and write more. It's hard. Leaving what has become my comfort zone for a few years might do me (and this site) good, though. I hope it does.

My next post will be about beauty, I promise. Until then, I wish you well.
